Culture Get to Know Power’s Chief Business Technology Officer: Marc Sule

Power is much more than a service business. We’re also in the business of tech. As we enter the next stage of growth, we need people-first, service-minded individuals that can innovate our technology systems, software, and culture to support that growth.

That’s why we’re proud to welcome Power’s new Chief Business Technology Officer, Marc Sule, to our organization to aid in that mission. Marc is a tech leader with 30 years of experience whose innovative spirit and humble leadership style will quickly impact our business and our people. Read on to learn more about him.

Tell us about your career before joining Power.

“Even though I graduated with a business degree from Drexel University, I have worked in technology ever since starting with my first job doing desktop support. During the internet boom, I became a developer and quickly grew into leadership roles in leading IT organizations in well known companies like GSI Commerce, Ebay, Urban Outfitters, and CVS Health. Before coming to Power, I was the Chief Information Officer for six years at alphabroder, which is the largest distributor and manufacturer of branded merchandise.”

What was it about Power that stood out to you?

“I love the energy at Power and it is reinvigorating me in what I do every day. I also love building things and look forward to helping to shape the technology that drives the company’s success.

Coming to Power is the closest thing to making a complete career change that I have experienced. The company is so unique and the culture is so awesomely different than any other place I ever worked. I feel like I am starting my career over with a whole new perspective.”

‘Chief Business Technology Officer’ is an uncommon title within the tech industry. Can you explain what your role is?

“I oversee the Business Technology (BT) department at Power. My main responsibilities are to ensure the BT employees are empowered to deliver the highest value features and services to the business while our applications and infrastructure are equipped to scale to meet the growing demand. I will also focus on preserving the great Power culture in BT and making sure employees continue to love working here every day.”
