ROLE DESCRIPTION

Location: Glassboro, NJ

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Junior Accountant will provide support to the Corporate Finance team by managing daily accounting tasks.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and reconcile the company’s corporate credit cards, including audit, research, approvals, coding and reporting transactions by the deadline.
  • Research, process and interact with company and vendor personnel in processing invoices for Accounts Payable.
  • Code and enter AP invoices in company database for payment.   
  • Identify, reconcile and clear un-invoiced AP, open purchase orders and AP invoices.
  • Maintain vendor records for AP.
  • Research, identify and assist in the resolution of other AP discrepancies.
  • Assist AP team with month end closing tasks and journal entries.  

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving skills, and strong quantitative and analytical competency.  Must be organized and attentive to details.  Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics or 3-5 years work experience in accounting or other relevant disciplines.
