POWER DONATES 129,000 ITEMS TO CHARITIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY

Employees in Power’s 16 Territories Give Back Through the Company’s Annual ‘Power Of Giving’ Philanthropic Initiative

CHESTER, Pa. DECEMBER 12, 2019 —  In the spirit of giving this holiday season, Power Home Remodeling (Power) — the nation’s largest full-service exterior home remodeling company — collected and donated 129,000 items to various causes in need. With 16 territories across the country, each donation benefited charities in Power’s respective, local communities.

In the program’s third year, Power of Giving empowers employees to value the importance of giving back to the communities in which they live and work. The philanthropic initiative enables Power employees to share their prosperity with those who are underserved, selecting a local charity of their choice to benefit from the drive. The drives are arranged as part of the company’s Diversity and Inclusion and Women’s Initiative.

In its inaugural year, the company-wide donation drive brought in 20,000 items in 2017, spiking to 30,000 items last year in 2018. This year, Power employees set a goal of 50,000 items, which they quickly eclipsed and more than doubled.

“Each year, the backing of the Power Of Giving initiative from all Power employees continues to build and build, and I am so thankful to those who worked so hard to raise money and donate this year,” said Lillian Humphrey, Director of Cultural Diversity & Inclusion at Power. “As someone who personally grew up in a struggling community, it means so much to be able to be a part of a company that strives to give back in any way that they can, and allows its employees in each territory to pick a meaningful, local charity to focus their efforts towards.”
